Second wave of BarCamp’s in India starting with BarCampBangalore2

BarCamp’s are back and this time they seem to be a lot bigger. BarCampBangalore2 (wish they made a smaller banner) is scheduled on 2 and 3 of December 2006, it’s a two day event with 29 Proposed Sessions, 257 (growing) registered participants it definitely seems to be a lot bigger than the last one.

There is something for everyone, the diversity of topics gives everyone a chance to participate, discuss, present and network, in turn giving way to more innovation through collaboration. Web and Mobile applications are of particular interest to me and I am really looking forward to see what’s being done in this space. Amit Ranjan has been featuring some of these new companies on WebYantra, it would be interesting to see if there are any more applications that come out in these two days.

It was particularly interesting to see Web Standards as one of the sessions, a lot of awarenessis required and I am hoping with Navjot Pawera’s session we will have a lot more people contributing to building a better web.
